You can defend yourself against bans. Rules say you can make an alt account to post in this thread or PM mods about bans (as long as you don't use the account to post or communicate with users other than mods of course). I did that when I was banned in January and the mods decided to remove the ban. The system works

This is very true.

I feel all the current mods are reasonable and capable of acknowledging the rare occasions where they apply the rules of the site inappropriately.

However, in the event that they are not, the head mods can - and on rare occasion do - overrule them.

Was I the deserved ban, or the horribly misunderstood one!

If the latter, your complaint is unfounded, as you were not banned for any longer than 4 and a half days!

It was a joke, a court could have been fun though.

Okay. I've had two threads locked. The first one I understand, but seriously locking this thread ( http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=200638&page=1# ) was out of order. Might as well lock all April fools threads now, their all spam after all since they all revolve around one thing.
