Whats up with Gamespot, game reviews from them seem to always fall to 5/6. At least the meta score is good, suprised at Polygons review

To be fair i think reviewers are harsher this generation than last, most likely because its harder to surprise people now.    70s are much more normal this generation, 80s are becoming more rare, and 85+ there is like 3-4 so far?  Its much different than last gen with 90s being given out left and right

I agree that reviewers are more harsh this generation, but I'm not sure it's because they're less surprised than they were 6, 7, 8 years ago. I think that the 8th gen is, to use a sports analogy, a make-up call. Modest scores in the 8th gen are, in my opinion, a direct result of inflated scores in the seventh.

These mediocre reviews have just reinforced my decision not to renew my PS+ sub. No sense in wasting money on a below average racer.
Guess I'll wait for December and The Crew reviews, it at least has a more interesting concept.

I guess that theory about review embargoes until release day is confirmed.

The only reviews i care are gametrailers , IGN and gameinformer, they all liked it, in fact the dude who gave it the best score ( from gametrailers ) is a HUGE racing fan and one of the best reviwers in the industry

so we need the gamespot 5/10 score to get a reliable picture

 

that result in 72,5/100 and is where the game belongs

Its one of those hit and miss titles. A hit for some and a miss for others. It's not that bad
