To not take any hype and sales away from the 3DS version. They want Smash fans to double dip. Not letting Smash fans know when the traditional home console version releases helps divert attention away from it.

I haven't touched my 3DS in a while. But once the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire hit I won't be putting it down for some time.

It could get delayed ... At this rate I'm not expecting it to release until early December.

Them releasing the 3DS version first makes no sense to keep the WII U version a secret since the damage was already done and it'll be very hard to justify purchasing the WII U and Smash for a $150 premium compared to what's offered on the 3DS.

If anything the better idea it's a better idea that Nintendo announces the game as soon as possible for the WII U to help damage control that Nintendo released Smash Bros on the 3DS first ...

haaaaaaaaaa i m watching you lol.I m here to remind you my aspect,that nintendo uses 3ds version as a decoy to lure 3ds owners to buy a wii u.if nintendo was thinking that 3ds version would damage  wii u version,would release a 3ds version?it s obvious!what? nintendo released smas bros to boost 3ds sales?of course not...nintendo, if this was the reason would had released it before new 3ds/xl announcement which hurts old 3ds sales...:P The only thing that is similar is the roster...the experience is way different and fans are used to play it on home consoles:P keep your temper, that s my opinion,i m not saying it s right :P dear,  one question,if 3ds version had been released in 2012,would you say the same?
