Forums - Nintendo - Hyrule Warriors Thoughts on NA Sales?

I think they are decent for a dw game but ok for a zelda game

your thoughts(and now hyrule warriors is over 300k :)  )

Bets:

(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

Raichu's First Series:

First RPG?

First Fighter?

First Racer?

First Shooter?

First MMO?

First Horror?

Official Ni No Kuni Fanboy:

Familiars Captured:37

Game Beaten: 2 times almost

Times I got teary during some scenes: 3

I was hoping for more, but it was expected I guess.

I think its pretty good, but
with wii u only releasing like 1 game every month, each game should have sold more.

correct me if i am wrong but the game released on the 27th here in the states and this weeks charts says its from the week of September 27th. so what i am asking is that is the chart began the tracking on the 27th which means the 99K would be hyrule warriors first week sales or is it ending the tracking for that week on the 27th which would mean that the 99K would be Hyrule Warriors day 1 sales which is it?

Close, The game was released on September 26th. So this is Hyrule Warriors sales for days 1 and 2, but as per standard the sales of those 2 days represent around 90% of the sales of the full week, so don't expect any residual boost for the next week. I also don't think the game will hold particulary well, if should be very front loaded, and maybe a small holiday boost around the holidays.

1M lifetime looks far far away.

I think it will receive a larger holiday boost than may be expected. It is, afterall, a Zelda game and Zelda/Mario  sell really well during holidays. I wouldn't be surprised to see Windwaker HD or Link Between Worlds make a strong push again, to be honest.

On another note, it has over 300k global in physical sales now. It's looking pretty health on the NA eshop charts in recent sales atm so I'm really curious to find out what it has sold digitally. I haven't bought it yet (too little time, too great of a backlog, and too many games coming out that I want to play). I'll get it this holiday probably.

thanks and yeah it seems like decent first day sales then but i will probably withhold judgment until the next sales chart which will cover the games first week i am probably gonna bet around 125K of first week sales
