Forums - Nintendo - Why is FIFA 15 on Wii but not Wii U?

I get EA hates the Wii U but why would you release a game on a console practically dead and not on a console that's partially alive and probably will shoot up very soon???

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015

Thanks for all the great memories!

Cause backwards compatibility

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Because EA is a stupid company who make dumb choises.

Because devs say wii u is not powerful enough. Which makes since

old skool

Because "unprecedented partnership"

Something bad happened between EA and Nintendo, i think EA are probably loving the Wii U predicament right now :(

We all know the answer to that question

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Because EA loves the WiiU so much, that's why..

Because EA, and third parties in general, hate Nintendo.
Another way of putting it is that Nintendo won't bend over backwards for them.

"On my business card I am a corporate president. In my mind I am a game developer. But in my heart I am a gamer." - Satoru Iwata

And the Wii version won't sell shit because of the total lack of online play. The Wii U version could have been an easy 360 port like all the other lame games EA released on that platform, so why they don't make that effort? Must be something personal...
