I love them both, but 4 is slightly better to me thanks to its more detailed and multi-threaded story, which deals with themes like Alzhiemer's, and asks the player to piece the plot together like a puzzle.

I was unaware that the translation site was down, (EDIT: On further investigation, it turns out the fan group behind it are remaking their website and plan to be back online once it's finished) maybe the fanbase can help you get hold of it: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beyond-the-Cameras-Lens/158850867476232

I'll wait until they get their site back online...I'm not planning on buying anything right this second, but I'm getting kinda tempted with FFV's release. Like...really tempted. And Fatal Frame 4 has a gorgeous box art @.@

They're definitely worth it if you're into old school, slower paced horror.

I was going to list this and Pandora's Tower, but I felt like they weren't so hidden cos of the whole Operation Rainfall deal, haha.

I think Pandora's Tower still wound up being overlooked in spite of the whole Operation. From the start, Xenoblade and The Last Story were the really hyped games, and Pandora's Tower was kind of just swimming in their wake. Its critical reception was more lukewarm than that of the other two, and it was the only one of the three to be released in America after the Wii U's launch.

True, I suppose. It's definitely a more niche game than TLS or XBC with its strict time management mechanic, harsher difficulty, and darker tone.

I bought it at launch and still haven't started it, haha.

So you've had it for what, 21 months!? 0_0

You must have one hell of a backlog...

Sort of. I find it hard to set time aside for console gaming, and when I do I have to be in the right mood to play something like Pandora's Tower or even The Last Story (which I'm only about one-third of the way through, I think). If I turned on my Wii, I'd be more likely to just put Xenoblade in and dump a few hours into that.

The only game I'd really say is part of my "backlog" in that I haven't really started playing it yet just because I never feel like it is Shin Megami Tensei IV. I want to play it eventually, but "eventually" never quite manifests as "right now."

Aside from that, I have a handful of games on Steam that I haven't played yet because my computer isn't up to the task for a multitude of reasons. That will eventually change and then my life will be consumed by Dark Souls.

Vanquish is in my backlog doubt I will get to it anytime soon though.

Spec ops The line and valkyria chronicles... Glad to see them both on many people's list = D
