She's not human but she's humanoid. Granted she was infused with Chozo DNA, and in Fushion she was infused with Metroid DNA to save her life, but as far as I know, there is no way to measure her powers w/o her suit.

Then again, maybe in Other M but I never played it, so if you can measure her strength and agility with suitless Samus that be interesting to know.

Human by birth. Gee...four posts saying the same thing.

But Samus without her power suit is like Tony Stark without his Iron Man suit. Still deadly yes, but it's definitely what makes them"Super".

Samus is not human. It's difficult to gain a proper perspective of it because humans are rarely seen in Metroid games, and we've never seen Samus fight one before. But I think it's pretty straightforward that Samus is more than human. She has alien DNA. As of Fusion, she is three species simultaneously, and she is more formidable than the sum of their parts.

You could measure how much damage she takes from space pirate weapons in her different suits in Zero Mission. I think it takes 3 hits to kill her in her Zero Suit on hard mode with max health.

Checking it out, it looks like the full-power Gravity Suit halves that damage.

Played both series extensively (not really familiar with the lore beyond the games) and I can't even imagine a scenario where anyone could come to a conclusion other than Samus.

She's faster, more mobile, likely stronger, has way better shield tech, and has virtually unlimited, more powerful ammo built into her suit.

A charged plasma pistol shot is enough to completely deplete the Chief's shield, replace that with a charged power beam shot, then what? Or insta-kill via plasma grenade, replace with power bomb..... Even the most powerful beings in the galaxy take minutes to wear down Samus' shield at full power, what could the Chief do, he'd be dead before he could change weapons.

I'm just not seeing it.

She is exactly a human. Genetically enhanced maybe, but human nonetheless.

Not after Fusion, she isn't. She's a metroid/human hybrid at that point, she even takes on their strengths and weaknesses.

By the end of Fusion when she gets her varia suit back, she only has the strengths.

Samus is human. When she was 3 years old, the chozo took her in and infused her with their DNA so she could survive on Zebes.

So what you're saying is that Samus was human. Is Chief fighting her before she was 3? If so, congrats, Chief wins that one.

Your DNA is what makes you human. She has a mix of human and alien DNA. She is neither human nor Chozo; she is both. This is why I said she is greater than the sum of their parts. Samus is a biological weapon of mass destruction.

According to Sakamoto, when Samus absorbed the SA-X, she "recovered her genetic condition." After the events of Fusion, she is back to being part human, part Chozo, no parts Metroid. But her armor still maintains the appearance of the Fusion Suit.

Master Chief can flip Scoepions sure. Samus survived 865G as a child. To puthat into perspective, our sun has a graviational force of 25G. Bye bye Master Chief if Samus punches him 'cause he explodes.

That reminds of this old video I once watched of Samus vs MC which was pretty cool fanfiction

But yea, I say Samus cause of how many weapons and stuff she has! Heck, her speed booster alone would run circles around Master Chief before he even knew what hit him and her ice beam would freeze his ass and she has plenty more shit after that

best reply! without reading the rest i can remember this from what when it ewas first uploaded

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

How so? Samus can literally jump in the air an infinite amount of time with Space Jump. And she can run at increadible (Sonic the Hedgehog) speed with the Speed Booster, wheres I believe Spartan II's only run at around 35 K/h. It's not even a fraction of Samus's top speed. She can also fly in this speed for as long as her energy allows her to.
So how are they on equal footing when it comes to mobility based on what armor abilities he has?

Don't you see, this thread is all about giving Master Chief access to every weapon and power he has ever had access to while nerfing Samus into the ground by limiting her arsenal because it is "unfair." Defeating the entire purpose of the comparison.

Guys, Halo is cool, Chief is great, it's fine. Samus is designed to be an unstoppable force of destruction. She hails from a universe set much farther in the future than Halo, sporting technology beyond anything Chief has encountered. She has been genetically modified and trained her whole life for battle, just like Chief, most likely making her his equal (if not his better) even outside their respective armor. They are in completely different leagues.

This is a Krillin vs. Goku debate.
