Interesting results. It's nice to see the poll so close. Now for my answer.
From the business side, handheld hands down. No matter how you look at it, handhelds always outsell their console counterparts. Even the anomaly of Nintendo consoles, the Wii, was well outsold by the DS. Also the costs to develop both the system and the games are lower.
For my preference, it's not a landslide win, but I still say handhelds. The 3DS has already become my favorite system of all time. I also think that anything can work on it. Smash Bros has proven this. Only the demo is out, and I can't believe how perfectly the 3DS and Smash go together. Also, being able to play with friends anywhere is fantastic.
