Okay I will delve deeper into my insight on why I believe the Smash bros. Melee roster beats Playstation All-Stars.
Let us start off with Link.
We only have one Link since young Link has been strangely ommitted. Toon Link is essentially the same thing but I digress.
Anyway, Link as well as other Zelda characters mind you, have been known to travel between different dimensions. So Jak's dimensional rift would have no effect on them, mind you it would be a minor hindrance. This even includes Mario as he can also change through different dimensional planes (see RPG Mario franchise). Samus also has the ability to travel between different dimensions (Metroid Prime Echoes).
The ability to travel to different dimensions is a Zelda staple, and Link has been known to save characters in different dimensions.
Link is able to travel through time, so any time device would not phase him as he has the power of the Goddess of Time on his side (among other Goddesses).
Ratchet's shield may use ammo as a currency, like others have pointed out: Link is more limited in his use of Nayru's Love... however he can use Rupees as currency for the Magic Armour.
Ganondorf can only be defeated by the Master Sword/(mythical) Silver Arrows granted by the Goddess and Great Fairy respectively.
Ganondorf has the ability to control those who have any ounce of darkness in them, even those who are pure like Zelda have been possessed by him. He could easily possess Kratos. Hell Kirby can mimic Kratos' ability whether he eats him or not. All Kirby has to do is eat an attack and he gains their ability. Kirby could mimic Ratchet's dancing device, or counter it by merely eating the attack and using it himself.
Donkey Kong is not affected by mind control as it is safe to assume neither is Ganondorf as he is essentially the best user for such control.
Jigglypuff is able to sing the opponents to sleep. Ratchet may be invincible, but there is not much he can do whilst being asleep. Eventually his ammunition will run out. Once ratchet is dispatched, either before he uses the dancing mind control or after, the characters that are susceptible to mind control will regain their senses.
Dante would actually pose a threat to Marth as they are both talent swordsman, although... Link kills demons for a living, and Dante is technically a demon.
Snake can dispatch Nathan quite easily.
Mario and co. have the ability to use fire power and have the use of the invincibility star. They can burn Sackboy into ashes.
Ness uses Psychic abilities to create powerful attacks. Fox and Falco have advanced weaponry, deflective shields and are expert pilots.
While Samus is a one woman army who uses technology from an advanced alien civilisation. She has the capabilities to bring down Spacestations single handedly as well as infiltrate alien planets and wiping out an entire species. Her Varia suit amongst others have the ability to withstand lava and gravity.
Mr. Game & Watch can summon things at will. He is practically a 2D version of the Green Lantern.
Pacman can go on some crazy ravenous eating campaign because he is Pacman, I mean, do we really need a reason why?
Sonic has awesome fighting skills as well as incredible speed. One could almost compare him to the Flash.
Ice Climbers would probably do feck all. Just saying. They probably best serve as bait or a simple distraction. Captain Falcon will confuse the Playstation's finest with his nipples.
Bowser does not ever want to die so there is that.
Link can easily dispatch Sir Dan as he has the ability to freeze the dead.
Really once they have Possessed Kratos and Kirby Kratos, it really is smoothsailing from there.
