Well, this thread raises the interesting point that Link and Samus SHOULD be included in Mario Kart, just because it would be cool, and because nobody necessarily cares about the lore in Mario Kart, lol.

Well, I think the diddy kong arguments have some logic to them. I guess he's in by association to donkey kong. But he doesn't really fit.

Super Mario RPG was made by Square, so it's not a true Mario game. Nice try!

R.O.B. and Mario drink beer together, so Mario thought it'd be ok to have a drunk robot in his kart racing game.

Waluigi shouldn't count either. He is only in spin-off and party games. So that means there are exceptions.

No, it doesn't. Waluigi was CREATED to be part of the Mario universe a-la multiplayer games. Seriously, you are lowering your percieved IQ each time you post. I will lay it out for you plain and simple

Mario Kart: Mario universe

Samus: Metroid universe
