Metroid isn't cartoony enough, first off.

Second, most wouldn't consider the games Ms. Pac-Man is in to be "true" Mario Kart games. She only appears in arcade versions. With that said, Ms. Pac-Man is a cartoony arcade character. Makes sense that she'd be included in the arcade version.

 Third, Smash Bros. Kart wouldn't be a good idea. Interesting concept, maybe a fun unlockable on a Smash Bros game, but a horrible full-fledged standalone.

Samus in Mario Kart is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.

"Her ship as a go-kart" is just offensive.

Alright let me say this as clear as possible.

You guys said that only mario characters could be in a mario kart game.

So I asked why diddy kong and donkey kong were in the game.

You guys proved donkey kong counts but never proved that diddy kong counts.

Then I asked why samus couldn't be in a mario kart game because she was in smrpg.

You guys said she was a cameo.

I accepted that.

But then I found out that there is also a cameo. R.O.B

Then you guys didn't prove rob to count.

Then there are two other characters that don't relate to mario at all MS. Pacman and Mametchi.

That means there are 4 exceptions to the rule that only mario characters could be in the game.

So that makes the statemen " Only Characters that appear in the mario universe are allowed in mario kart"wrong.

So if you anaylize my response you should see that my logic isn't flawed to believe that there could be exceptions.

Also when did nintendo ever say that only mario characters could be in the game. You just assume since the majority is mario characters that those are the rules.

I think this thread should end because I got my point across even though some people don't see it the way I do.

This topic is stupid. and I know this has already been said BUT I DON'T CARE!

Mario and DK had their first games together. So they are kinda in the same universe. DK appears in MANY Mario games. Diddy is obviously in because he is the 2nd most popular DK character.

Wow, you guys are acting like a real troupe of assholes. You spam and flood his thread with fail images, ignore the valid points he does bring up and flame him to hell for the ones that weren't as valid. Is this what you're reduced to? Internet bullying? It's sad to think about how far people go to make themselves look/seem respectable on this forum then act the way they do in innocent threads like this..

On topic, I think it'd be cool to include 2 or 3 of Nintendo's more iconic characters in MK, ala Link, Samus, Fox or whoever.

In every "Mario" titled game all of the characters and gameplay dynamics are defined by the "Mario Universe" which is (essentially) the collection of games that are directly (or indirectly) related to Mario. Starfox, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda and other Nintendo series characters never appear in these games because they do not belong to the "Mario Universe"; it is difficult to say how Samus Aran would respond to being hit by a red turtle shell.

Super Smash Bros. often causes a little confusion about this being that there is a cross over of characters in this series; this happens in this series because it is not in the Mario Universe and the entire game occurs in the imagination of a young child.
