They make up for the lack of news by releasing all of the games during these months.
Who cares about a bunch of video game dog and pony shows? The actual video games are coming out during the fall. Happy days are here again!
I'd rather play games than hear about them...
Instead of watching videos of as-yet unreleased games, we can now play new games!

Heh it seems you have reached that point in life where you prefer to hear and talk about games rather than play them.
It happened to me a few years ago too :( So many games yet I just don't play
