WOuldn't matter. Judging by the sales, if it is anything like this in the West then Bayonetta is dead.

3DS sells 2k(40k--->42k) more than the week of smas bros and is up wtf? vita keeps falling,this week to 11k! Is this its lowest week in japan?so vgchartz will have it below 20k...2k usa 2.5k Europe 11k japan 2.5 row=18k:O

Comparing first week sales of Bayonetta 2 to Bayonetta 1 in Japan is silly because the market in 2009 is vastly different than today's market in Japan. The same week Bayonetta 1 came out in Japan (2009) also saw the Wii sale 28,000 units, Wii Fit Plus sale 82,000, and the Playstation 2 sale nearly 2,000 units.

We have to admit that the market in Japan today is vastly different. These numbers are respectable for today's market in Japan. Bayonetta 2 is competing against the likes of Youkai Watch 2, and Super Smash Bros. What we can look at is the miserable lifetime numbers for Destiny in Japan, which saw a huge drop in its second week. That is a massive drop. It's a different market. We should all be happy that there is some quality software out there for gamers. Bayonetta 2 will do just fine because as soon as it comes out in America I'm getting it and I don't care if it sales another copy EVER!

Given its debut sales failure, unless ninty can cover loses it could end up being ported.

That really puts things into perspective, particularly the 360 numbers. Hyrule warrios didn't do great either, so I'm genuinely curious as to what Japanese Wii U owners are playing or awaiting (other then smash).

Trusting VGC preorder numbers I assume? If so then prepare to be disappointed. It happens every time.

Sigh... You're living in denial aren't you? It wont end up being ported. wait until it Launches in the west before saying it will be a loss. Both Platinum and nintendo are known for having pretty damn good budgets.
