Do we really have to stoop to personal attacks every God Damn time?

Well I'm just reveling in it because some fans were quite smug about it. I don't want to see it doing bad. But obviously Platinum decided that it didn't matter to them that the game sells copies. So if they don't want it to be successful, we should be supportive of their wishes. |
I'm going to be smug when I get to play this sexy beast next month
@bold: well, i don't think thats true. Remember Nintendo financed this, they are responsible for the marketing and essentially will take the financial hit, shielding platinum from damage. Platinum Games got paid to make the game and judging from impressions/reviews, Platinum did make an awesome game and nintendo did pour alot of resources for the studio to use to make the game. An effort was made here.
It's just that only 39k gamers wanted to buy the game, and that's how the cookie crumbles

Why would any retailer order new copies of the game in the past 6 months? I would be shocked if it did any more than sell out of what's left. |
Well how many did they ship?

Just like when Sony snatched Final Fantasy 7 from Nintendo back in 97? Or when Nintendo snatched Monster Hunter from PSP? If the franchise is strong enough, the fanbase will follow. Bayonetta was just not nearly strong enough to do much of anything, atleast in Japan. |
More like if the platform is strong enough the fanbase will follow. Most people don't buy a system for 1 game.

We might not need to if we had something like IP bans, just saying ;)
