Whilst it is possible there was an error in transcribing, as it is written, the answer 'Yes' clearly refers to "Does the deal have a duration?"

He then declined to answer subsequent questions.

You might wind up being right of course, but you're quoting a confirmation that doesn't exist for now

so, then confirm that the exclusivity has a time period doesnt confirm that its a timed exclusive?.

you are not making any sense. the exclusivity has a time duration, but it means it isnt timed exclusive. yeah, makes sense.

The deal has a duration. The exclusivity only has a duration if they confirm a release for another console. They have not done this.

do you understand how timed exclusivity works? they arent going to announce a PS4 or PC version before the XB1 release, it will be a marketing suicide. but they confirmed it has a duration.

and going by your own words, they answered the first question, Does the exclusive to xbox have a duration? the answer was YES. meaning that it is coming to at least one platform after the deal is done. they confimed it, the exclusivity has a duration, the only way exclusivity can technically end is if the game comes out on other platforms, and they confirmed exclusivity has a duration. the question wasnt "Does the deal have a duration" the question was "does exclusive to xbox have a duration". they confirmed it ends, meaning they confirmed its coming to other platforms.

We're very deep into superfluous minutia here, but you're incorrect.

It doesn't mean that the game is coming to other platforms. It means at the duration of the exclusive deal, there is an *option* for the developers to bring the game to other platforms. Is that likely? Sure. But if you're argument is that the game is confirmed as coming to any specific platform other than Xbox One or Xbox 360, then you're incorrect. If you're argument is that the game is confirmed to be coming to any platform at all other than Xbox One or Xbox 360, you're incorrect.

Likely? Sure. Confirmed? No.

are we making stuff up now? the question was clear. "Does the exclusive to Xbox have a duration". that was the question that was answered with a YES, according to no other than you yourself. in fact, here is all the questions. "Does the exclusive to Xbox have a duration? Is it timed? How long is the duration? Can we expect a PlayStation 4 or PC release in the future?.

and the answer to that was Yes, in no part in the question, or any question for that matter, have the word "deal" in it. it was about the exclusivity, and about how its going to end, after the Yes part they further illustrated why, because the deal has a duration.

your constant arguing about this matter baffles me, you are going into a technicalities, altering them to what ever pleases you, just so you can "prove" its not a timed exclusive when a monkey can tell that it is. its reaching a point where its becoming baiting because you're simply ignore logic, reason and the big, fat writting on the wall written by no other than crystal dynamics them selfs saying to expect it on PS4 or PC and you run to "technicialities" to try support your claim, to a point where its becoming very difficult to have any form of reasonable discussion here, maybe its because you cant stand the game is timed exclusive or maybe because you cant admit to being wrong, maybe something else, i dont really care why, the problem, you are still doing it.

I have said that it has not been confirmed as coming to any other platform, and therefore it has not been confirmed as a multiplatform game. That is all that is borne out by the revealed facts.

Does that make it likely it will come to other platforms? Sure.

Is it confirmed? Again, no.

We're having a discussion. If you feel baited, that is a matter for you. You think I am saying more than I am.

Edit: To clarify, at no point (barring maybe a few hours when this all first came to the fore months back) have I said the game will not come to PS4, WiiU, Android, iOS and Gameboy - I guess thats what is confusing for me, you are railing against something I am not saying.

OT:

I don't think Microsoft will obtain any more previously multiplatform exclusives outright in the near future. They have been burnt by their poor handling of the Tomb Raider reveal.

That said, they could reboot once multiplatform titles that haven't been active for years (Rare's backlog perhaps).

MS bought Minecraft yes, not the Xbox division they are two completely different lines of business. They are going to use Minecraft to build mobile and they know by making this IP exclusive they greatly cut the amount of money the IP can generate. If they are going to continue to support Apple and Android they will continue to support Sony! Why you ask, well MS wants Mobile the Xbox division is not core. MS could give themselves timed exclusive content or exclusive content but they know by making the IP exclusive they kill the money making potential of the IP. So until anything is said Minecraft will remain Multiplatform.

Besides, Minecraft is not really a console selling IP, I have never herd of anyone buying console X because it has minecraft!! That be crazy since the game can run on mobile (cheaper to get into) and a rather low end PC (also cheaper to get into).

The console version of minecraft outsold the pc version even though the pc version was the only way to play it for the first few years. So yes, Minecraft is a console seller. And to the people stating they will release playstation version, Microsoft never released a published game for a Sony's platform. Gaming consolse are not the same market as mobile.

I'm thinking MS will go for Titanfall 2 to be an Xbox exclusive

Then perhaps Dead or Alive. Maybe do a Killer Instinct vs DOA crossover.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I also agree that I don't think MS will do anything as far as game acquisition. The idea MS does not care about money and could just sink money into something that is losing money because they can is just idiocy, pure and simple. You do not get as big as MS by just burning money and that's what Xbox is.. it's a money pit. MS has to keep investors happy and that trumps whatever random MS fanboys may think.
