MS could give themselves timed exclusive content or exclusive content but they know by making the IP exclusive they kill the money making potential of the IP. So until anything is said Minecraft will remain Multiplatform. Besides, Minecraft is not really a console selling IP, I have never herd of anyone buying console X because it has minecraft!! That be crazy since the game can run on mobile (cheaper to get into) and a rather low end PC (also cheaper to get into). |
The console version of minecraft outsold the pc version even though the pc version was the only way to play it for the first few years. So yes, Minecraft is a console seller. And to the people stating they will release playstation version, Microsoft never released a published game for a Sony's platform. Gaming consolse are not the same market as mobile.
