Forums - Nintendo - 2015 for Wii U will be nowhere near the droughts we had in 2013 and 2014

I don't get how people are saying that there will be a drought in 2015 for Wii U games that will be as bad or worse than the 2013/2014, I mean just from E3 alone it has an outstanding 2015, plus there is even announced games coming, hopefully a new Mario too, just from E3 we have in 2015...

Zelda

Star Fox

Splatoon

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Devil's Third

Mario Maker

Yoshi's Woolly World

Mario Party 10

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Compare that to 2014: DK:TF, MK8, Smash, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Captain Toad

Anyone saying there will be a drought in 2015 is simply bias, I think if they release all of these in orderly and planned dates, 2015 could be the Wii U equivalent of 3DS's 2013

Crazy how the Wii U managed to make 9 games in a year seem like a lot to its fans.

This is only E3 games, there are some unannounced ones also that might come out, plus we don't get third party games

I expect Zelda to be delayed to 2016, but Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World, Captain Toad, Splatoon, FAST Racing Neo, 90s Arcade Racer, Devil's Third, and likely other games we haven't heard about yet should be enough to keep me entertained.

How far in 2016 do you expect Zelda to be delayed?

For first party it's a lot, the lack of third party makes the overall lineup small. But if you're actually planning to buy each of those games then you should be good for the year.

I only count 7 titles there. Frankly not much of an improvement, but still.

Also, with Mario Party 10 and Mario Maker, are you really hoping for another Mario game so soon?

Not sure. It's just that Nintendo has a habit of delaying their games on Wii U, and a HD open world Zelda will take a long time to make.

Mario Party is by ND cube and Mario Maker seems like a very simple game to program coming out at the beginning of the year, Captain Toad can not be the only thing that Nintendo EAD (one that makes mario) is working on

Not really the point I was making. Afterall, what kind of Mario game are you looking for, when there is both a 2D and 3D Mario game on the system, the latter less than a year ago?
