Mario, if we consider how many Nintendo games have with him in them.

They would lose 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Party and all the other Mario Spin-Offs.

After that it'd be Halo, MS biggest franchise they have a lot riding on it.

And then Uncharted, would be a pretty big hit, but since I personally believe that the 4th will be the last Uncharted game anyway I'd say that this would be comparably the smallest loss for the company that holds the IP of the 3. Now if Sony lost ND, then that'd be a whole nother story.

Interesting question.

At first blush, Super Mario seems like the most appropriate answer, but Nintendo also has Mario Kart and Pokemon, arguably as big as Super Mario.

I think the answer's Halo. It's Microsoft's biggest and best franchise, and it's role in the success of Xbox division can't be understated. Without Halo, Microsoft's library would look a lot less impressive, especially considering Microsoft's closest rival, Sony, looks to be getting many more high profile first party games in the near future.

Uncharted, to me, is the least important of the three.

I'd say nowadays the Xbox also sells regardless of exclusives, but they'd be a lot worse if they lost Halo today, and obviously they probably wouldn't even be here if they didn't get the franchise back when it started.

well playstation was confusing since I cant tell what is its main series

nintendo has mario and microsoft has halo so that was easier to figure out

Sony doesn't really have a main series, Gran Turismo might probably be the closest thing to it though and then Uncharted, though as I've said I wouldn't be surprised if this series ends next year.

Gotta stay positive, ND already has the next awesome IP ready to go after they (possibly) finish the Uncharted series next year. ;)

This gen is gonna be about TLOU for ND after Uncharted 4 is out and hopefully they'll bring us a new IP at the end of the gen this time as well.

Nintendo >> Microsoft >>>>>>>>>>>>> Sony

Sony have lots of first parties with lots of ips.Uncharted would be a huge loss though...

While Halo was the one of the games responsible for making the Xbox brand it is today however Nintendo without Mario would be much more detrimental since a franchise like that accounts for billions of dollars in their revenue.

I think Gran Turismo is the more important franchise to Sony than uncharted is.
