Sure lets asume that the numbers we heard leaked are real.
The x1 bump is due to a free game bundle of a game that only sells in the US. Of course to seece this must mean that it also sold great in europe, for a game that dosent even sell 100k lft in europe.

Lets also compare the new game bundle, on the only place it sells, to a console that has had absolutly nothing for 3 months. This makes a lot of sence.

If the $400 june sku taught us anythng is that when the US expects a discount, they will not buy the console untill that bundle is out, so we could asume that the x1 was selling 15k a week in the US and then sold 115k the last week.

I also see no reason for the wii u to stay up this long based on MK8 alone and a couple of bundles being anounce to come in a couple of weeks. So while being unlikely, the wii u could have sold extremly bad on that last week, since a new bundle was anounced for next month and a big ip just came out for the other consoles. So maybe vgc is on track for august since we dont have the numbers yet for the last week.

One game for the wii u lasted for 3 months doubling the baseline and the x1 has lasted one week with everythiing that came to it and you still think it will sell bad when everything comes this holiday for the wii u? This just shows that nintendo games last a lot more thatn third partys on the x1.

And lastly, one bad month for the wii u and you automatically asume that its confirmed that its been overtracked since june. Well thats the final piece of evidence ovbiously.

Stop this, you're literally one of the last people that refuses to accept that the Wii U is overtracked, even though it's really clear as day.

All the people that were gloating a few backs about how the wii U was destroying the X1 now are pretending numbers don't matter anymore lol, going full offtopic when it was pretty clear since last shipment numbers from Nintendo that the wii U was overtracked here

It's clear the Xbox One is overtracked too, same with the PS4. This whole site overtracks you just have to be liberal with your guesses and numbers.

not according to shipment numbers

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

This is absolutely false. Where is your evidence? If anything it was recently understood that PS4 was UNDERTRACKED by 600k units on this site. I don't know where your claims are coming from.

I can't even take this thread seriously with all the grammar issues in the OP. What bothers me is that the avatar says "writer," so these are simple mistakes that shouldn't be made. I'll make it look better then give my opinion.

"It's been doing well in the US alone (in my calculated opinion).

August NPD is in and WiiU has dropped back down to 60k~ with MK selling 66k software. This does not bode well for Euro sales where the title is dropping even further and has never been WiiU's stronghold.

With an average of 15k a week in the US, 8k in Japan, and an estimate of 10 - 13k in Europe (being less kind to Nintendo than US are) that's around 35k~ a week WW.

XB1 had managed 160k+ in US but most of that boost was from Madden week, so before it was averaging same as July, which was around 33k a week. Taking into account Europe/UK/Rest of Americas ect and XB1 is clearing 50k a week (US being 60% of market)

But now it seems with Madden, US alone is outselling WiiU WW."

So an opinion based on your own math? That's hard for me to believe you when you are trying to inject math in to an opinion. Math is usually an absolute which can be backed up but calculatable facts. We can say the Wii U is overtracked, but the Xbox One is also overtracked so it makes your statements somewhat moot. Xbox One was doing bad, and it was doing worse than the Wii U for a while.

Get out of town, those are not good grammar edits.

The 1st sentence he's trying to say X1 in US has outsold the Wii U worldwide.  Its a continuation of the tittle. You're changing the meaning.

"Taking into account..." your edit makes it look like you will state a conclusion, but there isn't one.

Lets try to stick to debating about what people are saying rather than how they're saying it.  Arguing with the writing is usually an indicator that you don't have a real argument.

Great thread, I see practically no rebuttles, so it's settled!!

I hope we see some adjustments soon to better reflect the actual sales.

OMG! Go look at a map and see that the world is bigger than the US and then compare shipment numbers to what vgchartz is showing. Just stop please.

Well, I did some simple math and three of the August numbers combined for Wii U here result in more than 60k. I'm not even using the data for the week that ends at August 2nd because it started in July or the upcoming data for the last week of the month. But the average VGC Wii U week is a little more than 20k so we got more than 80k here. So at least 10k overtracked monthly and that can be enough to give X1 a slight, very slight worldwide edge.

In real numbers, both consoles are doing equally terrible compared to PS4, gen is already over and so on. Still, I'm pretty sure that X1 will outsell the Wii U easily, something around 50% to 100% more sales. PS4 will probably outsell both combined, unless X1 improves more than I think it will. I don't have any hope for the Wii U and it will probably have Wii-like legs.

Comparing  sales of Xbox one to the Wii U.... How the mighty have fallen.

Considering we had threads with people predicting the WiiU will outsell the Xbox one this thread should be not a surprise...

Literally scraping the bottom of the barrell at this stage for any reason to put Xbox ones current situation in a good light.

Scraping the Barrell??? Hmmmm sounds like a topic you truly aren't happy with. Like come on man sales and comparisons is what we discuss here on vg chartz.

US has best taste in consoles. PS4> Bone > WiiU .
We are getting gaming right this time.

I know we have tons of Nintendo fans here, but Nihty should be third all fall and early winter.
