So.... does this mean that every single console except for the PS2 has underperformed? o.o I mean, the Wii only hit 100 million, that's 2/3rds of the PS2's total sales, largely because the Wii's sales seemed to drop right off a cliff after a set period. I'm just curious as to why it isn't until now that I've heard this metric being used... pretty sure if, last generation, the Sony fans were saying; "Yeah, well, the Xbox 360 is NOTHIN compared to the PS2, so there!" they'd be laughed right out the door. ...heck, I'd be doing some of the laughing.

It's actually July where PS4 was underperforming ... For June the PS4 performed fairly decent.

It's fact....of course it does not have supply issue cause it sold faster then any console every except the wii, thats the point ROFL..ps3 and 360 did thus there sales were much slower, but took longer to hit demand, you slow?
You have to be a moron to think if the ps4 had ps3's supply it would not be selling way more right now....if say it was only at 5-6 million.

I don't care what it sold at launch. We've all acknowledged it had a very strong launch (not surprising since the last generation went on for damn near a decade). I'm looking at its sales performance this year and it's nothing special.
And I'm looking at this in the context of the INDUSTRY as a whole, not as a PS4 versus XB1 circle jerk wank for bragging rights.
If the market leader is having troubles hitting above 250k consistently, coupled with the utter collapse of the handheld business, it says something about the industry IMO.

Well the king of consoles is called king for a reason.... To compare the PS4 to the king in order to justify your opinion that the PS4 isn't selling well is rather silly. Nothing wrong with having opinions, but to those who aren't impressed with the PS4's sales, it's your opinions. Not facts. Opinions.
