Both Destiny and Titanfall were imo overhyped, but they still have potential if the sequel improves upon their mistakes. I don't think Destiny 1 will effect sales of consoles very much. It's going to die quickly unless Bungie updates frequently with big additions or events.

Hard to tell with the DLC coming, but I think it will be like Watchdogs as well.

Destiny is going to be turned into an annualized franchise, isn't it? So, I'm going to err on the side of caution and say that it'll have a good baseline for a year, and will boost hardware sales significantly for three months or less.

It depends on how shitty it really is, they already announced it will have tons of DLC, but it really sucks, it will not matter.

don't know, but i'm realy interested in the numbers. I realy want to see how many Ps4 and X1 destiny managed to puch, Ps4 certaily got a better boost, but how much better? and as you topic suggest, how much time is this boost going to last.

Judging from the impressions I'd say short term.

This isn't a ground breaking title for its time the way GTA3 was or Halo was or Call of Duty circa 2007.

I think people are overestimating the amount of bad impressions. The only place I've heard anything remotely negative is forums. Everyone I've talked to in real life has nothing but praise for it.

It'll be short term, but definitely longer term than Titanfall for sure. Not sure if it'll be longer term than Watch Dogs, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it was. It'll definitely drop off though.
