xbox 360 is doing fine for the time being. 2 years from now will be another story.

A lot of you guys predicted the demise of the PS3 last year, but it is he 360 that looks to be losing momentum.

Umm no it's not.
I dont think MS have to worry at all.
Current sales arent a problem.
PS3 is doing what it's doing for 2 reasons.
1. Pre christmas price drop.
2. HD DVD failiure.
The comment that the Library advantage is getting closer isnt really right.
There are very few exclusives for PS3 even in 08 compared to 360.
MS will be nering a price drop currently here in UK Premium pack is £249.
Get that to £199 and core Arcade to £159 and Sony will have serious sales problems again. Also if a Blu Ray add on comes out this year (E3 announcement?)
That would be it.
I'm not going to read that monster post, but I will say that the 360 could spike up with GTA for a moment. Also, if Microsoft manages to make Halo 4 before the next generation they could peak again. That's my thought.

yes the 360 hit its peak with Halo 3. The next Halo will not have as much hype because for many Halo 3 was a major letdown(its there own fault for having their hopes too high)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

A lot of people were disappointed in Halo 2 as well, but still, Halo 3 sold extremely well.
And If there will be a new Halo (main series) I think it will be on the next XBOX and therefore get a massive amount of hype.
