Probably around $200 or so. Between PS+ sub, gamefly (on and off) and about 3 games I have bought.
My wallet is about to take a hit with DriveClub and LittleBigPlanet 3 though.

Infamous-$60
TLoUR-$50
SM3DW-$35
DKCRTF-$30
LoZWWHD-$30
Mario Kart 8-$40
Rayman Legends (WiiU)-$25
Infamous: First Light-$15
Spiderman 1 and 2 for PS1-$15
WiiU-$200
MGS:GZ-$20
WiiU Pro controller-$30
but I sold most of those back already (Rayman, Mario 3d, DKC, WWHD) for basically what I bought them for (don't remember exactly) so really only $430 so far this year
Planning on getting...
Destiny LE-$100
Watch Dogs-$25 or less
Smash Bros WiiU bundle-$100
And possibly (depending on reviews or if the price goes down enough by the end of the year)
Watch Dogs Definitive PS4-$30 or less
GTA5 remastered PS4-$30 or less
Shadows of Mordor PS4-$30 or less
ACU PS4-$30 or less
ACR-$30 or less
The Wolf Among Us PS4 disc-$20 or less
The Walking Dead Season 2 PS4 disc-$20 or less
The Crew PS4-$30 or less
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD-$20 or less
Walking Dead Season 1 PS4 disc-$20 or less
So $485 plus tax for the rest of the year. Making $915 total this year possibly
Now what I didn't factor in was my gaming sales (other than the aforementioned WiiU games)
PS3 (one I wasn't using I still have a 500gb)-$170
TLoU Ps3 steelbook-$100
GTA5 steelbook-$40
Pulse elite headset (cracked and getting golds for christmas)-$75
Wii-$50
KH HD 1.5-$22
Nintendoland-$18
meaning that my total sales subtract $475 from that
So basically my total losses this year are $440 for gaming. Not a very expensive year at all considering the new console I bought
I'm actually surprised by the amount of variety there is in people's spendings.
Pretty much 420,- €. Here's a list of the stuff I bought in 2014:

Lyrics: He He He He Ha Ha Ha!

Depends, on software only I probably spend about 500-600$ per year, when I upgrade stuff or go on a shopping spree online or otherwise, it can be up to 3-4000$ in a year. On average it probably exceeds 1200-1500$ per year.
Hmm. I've bought a 3DS XL (~$190), six 3DS games (~$130)...and that's it thus far.
It helps when there's a game bundled with the 3DS and every game you've bought has been a grindfest.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:3
I have spent less than $110 this year for gaming. PS plus (free games) has reduced my gaming expenses by a lot.
Depends how many games I'm interested in playing for that year. Could be 5 or 50.
But on average I spend around 400$/year on software alone. This year I built a rig for 1100$, and bought 250$ worth of games (new releases, VC, GCN/DS games from eBay/amazon). I also have HW, B2, Smash, Toad on pre-order (160$) + 2 amiibos (Link/Mario). So this year is +-460$ on software. 1600$ total.
And I still have enough to pay for university.
Next year will be Oculus Rift time, can't wait for it.
Like 3 thousand last year and 2 thousand this year. It will go down to 1 thousand now cause I have all the consoles. However, it is because gaming is so expensive in Brazil.
