Does the PS4 has the best library

no, the wii U's library is superior 185 36.49%

no, the X1 is betta 35 6.90%

no, the ouya is in the lead 23 4.54%

yes 227 44.77%

I vote what the mass voted 37 7.30%

Total:507

To be fair, the PS4, while it has good games, it still needs to broaden its offerings. But that will come as time passes. Game announcements were made, there are still no games yet, and people buy the PS4? Why? Because they want the most powerful console that was cheaper from the start and they want to get ready for when the rest of the games release. And I still think E3 2013 still has something to do with these sales, but that effect will wean out eventually.

To me, it is. At this point, I wouldn't buy a PS4 even at half price. It does absolutely nothing to make me want it.

Well that's all fine and dandy, but your taste does not represent the gaming community.

Most people enjoy the Ps4's lineup. You state it's lineup sucks as if it were a fact. Just saying.

I state it as if it were my opinion, which it is. Game quality is all just opinion in the end.

You left out a lot of information, like how PS4 came out a week earlier so all the multiplatform launch game reviews came out for PS4 not Xbox One. The "highest rated" game you mentioned, along with many others, are ports from the playstation 3 console, not original to the PS4. Compare triple AAA games and xbox takes the cake so far, maybe not later on but for right now its not really an argument that x1 has some better big games out, and will have more this year. PS4 will catch up next year for sure though.

lol I love when people state these things hoping everyone will just blindly believe them.  Just because you say it with confidence doesn't make it true.  They're even on big games so far.  PS4 has had 2 (Infamous and TLoUR) vs. Xbox only having one (Titanfall) big game this year.  This Fall Xbox has MCC, Sunset, and Forza but PS4 has LBP3 and Driveclub so they'll even out by year's end.  Next year there's the Order, Bloodborne, and Uncharted AT LEAST (remember LBP was announced in June and will come out in November so Sony likes to announce things later now) vs. Xbox with Halo 5, probably another annual Forza, and Quantum Break with possibly Scalebound or Crackdown though those seem to be in very early stages.  So where is it Xbox gets the edge again?

No.
So far, its lineup is staggeringly unappealing. I can't think of a single game that makes me want to buy the system.

I think that's a little harsh, but I see your point of view. Anyways, the best game on the system is a remastered version of a year old game. That should tell you something.

That said, it would also be one of the best games on either the Wii U or Xbox 1 if it had been released on those too. This just tells you it was a fantastic game ;)

People always seem to forget when trying to analyse what is making the system sell so well, that actually although it's game lineup is lacking to them, it's already got all the important stuff ticked off a large portion of video game console purchasers. It has FIFA with better graphics than the previous gen. PlayStation is the main format of choice for FIFA. Chuck in that it gets all the other mainstream software such as Call of Duty, and it's already ticked all the boxes to sell well out of the box.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

To most current gen owners, yes it does have the best library. One single game may not be the most outstanding thing you've played (e.g. Mario Kart 8), but overall there is a large variety of quality games on the PS4. Plus, multiplats look and run better on it.

Metacritic is just another biased website in the pockets of Sony to create hype even though the PS4 has no games.

How is that possible?  It's an aggregate number based on all reviews.

I can't believe this went over yours and so many others' heads

Blind people say its library is unappealing.

Haters say it sells on hype.

Reasonable people understand that you buy a console to play games the next 6-8 years and that the PS4 library will be the best out of the 3 consoles out on the market with great exclusives and the best versions of multiplats.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Has nothing I care about. Nothing until Bloodborne, so over a year before the PS4 had something worthwhile to buy, again for me.

1) Strong initial impressions
2) Best Launch price : Console power ratio
3) Strong third party support
4) Promised first party support
5) Open, true and fair policies which people respected

Do you really want me to explain that?... Okay.

So back in 2012, I was in front of the TV watching Nintendo's E3 12 presentation when they first unveiled the name of their new gen hardware and details. They spit up all this gamer that their new console would be a true next gen system with games from every genre combined with a state of the art new way to play and superior online services that, all of those combined, would put any 7th gen console to shame. In my mind, Nintendo was basically talling me that they were going back to the days of the SNES and N64 when Nintendo actually innovated and put many awesome games on their console that appealed to all. They weren't trying to pull another Wii. They wanted to make an actual games console, and not something that's only fun when you're drunk at a family party. So I get back from MCRT a couple months after Wii-U's release and decide to buy based off hearing such good things coming to the system. Almost as soon I do, that's when the console's whole image goes completely to crap. The online service is garbage. There's literally no games on it besides ANOTHER NSMB, a very poorly done zombie title, a lego game, and a list of third party titles that don't even run as well as 8 year old hardware, plus the controller, the console's biggest selling point, turns out to feel clunky and feels cheap. Nintendo starts marketing to children again, all the "this is a hardcore console!" goes out the window, and the only games that seem to even remotely matter are more cartoony low end titles that I have zero interest in.

To put it bluntly, I fell for the lie, and now I refuse to support the console anymore than I have already. At least until something that genuinely interests me releases on it. Sadly, from what I've seen of Zelda U, that may not happen for a loooong time.

While I agree that what is available on PS4 thus isn't the greatest thing ever, the console at least gets genuine third party/ indie support, and the list of upcoming titles is only looking better and better as the months go on. With Wii U, I feel like the console will literally be done as soon as Zelda U releases, with almost nothing of worth between now and then.

Mind you, this is all just my personal opinion, and I should hope noone is personally bothered by it.

Thank you so much, thats how I feel about the system as well. Its second year on the market and Im only buying 3 games for it in 2014 (MK8, Bayonetta 2 and Smash). Thats freaking ridiculous because thats how many games I usually buy in a month on PC alone.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
