After witnessing the masterpiece known as Super Mario 3D World, I was wondering what would happen if they went full 3D with a traditional Kirby game and moved on from the 2.5D sidescroller. By traditional I mean the regular look and classic transformations. I would also like the co-op since you can have different color Kirbys or even King Dedede. After I looked at the gorgeous space levels in 3D world I would love to see something like that for Kirby. It would work perfectly and would be awesome.

Also in this link, albeit old, HAL actually mentions their desire to do it in the future. I would love for this to be on Wii U. You?

I think Kirby will translate extremely well into 3D. I would love for it to come sometime down the road.

No, Kirby should just stick to Smash Bros where he belongs.

I think they need to stop making his games easy.
He is one of the most powerful nintendo characters and can beat the shit out of his enemies quite easily, so give him a challenge for god's sake.

It is time for Kirby: U nleashed, to be released.

Don't we give them shooters for that? =P.
Just joking.

It doesn't need to be Donkey Kong hard, just to push it a little. Also, can't we let Yoshi take the new gamers for a while?

I don't know if a fully 3D Kirby game would turn out very well... :S

When I was a little kid, I loved the idea of video games, but they were too hard to me (I grew up in the NES days, and my collection included Ninja Gaiden, Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and so on.  Even Mario Bros was a bit tough as I didn't know you could continue.)  Kirby's Dream Land was the first game I could beat on my own that wasn't partronizingly easy, and actually featured clever levels, good graphics, and good music.  So, I'm glad the franchise still exists in this form, so kids will have something that is not only easy, but actually good.

On topic, I'm not sure how well 3D would work with Kirby's abilities.  In a 2D space, it's easier to confine Kirby so that obstacles can't all be flown over.  Balancing that in a 3D game could be tough.  I'd love to be proven wrong though, because I love 3D platformers, and there are sadly few out there.
