Forums - Sony - PS4 is getting 4 major AAA enjoyments in the next 5 months

Guys/gals I don't know if you know this, but Intrinsic is a PlayStation fan. Most of his post on this thread was pure sarcasm. Hence people falling for the troll attempts against the PS.

Driveclub is hardly AAA until it proves itself. Will make that decision when I play.

Order 1886 has had some bad previews on it, so will wait and see.

LBP3 should be fun.

Bloodborne again unproven.

What is your defnition of AAA that both Driveclub and Bloodborne have to prove themselves before they can call themselves that?

Each game has to go through a rite of passage at the Lotus Temple in India. Buddha's teaching has been passed down through generations where he details exactly what makes a game "AAA".

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You didn't reply back about why I consider LBP non-AAA. Would like to hear your impression.

Destiny is AAA to, probably the most expensive title this year if not ever.

Oh please let the rest of us know, once youve decided for everyone if they are AAA or not, we wait patiently.

Why wouldn't it be? I'm honestly curious because people keep saying this but never provide an actual reason.

Because Little Big Planet games by Media Molecule (And, by extention, Tearaway) weren't AAA. I don't picture Sumo Digital using a budget of the size of The Last of Us to produce Little Big Planet 3.

I'm guessing you're talking about this post? I still don't see any proof that LBP3 isn't AAA. You don't know the budget as far as I'm aware. Just because the first game in the series had a tight budget doesn't mean the sequels would be the same.

But...it works the same way around. You don't know the budget as far as I'm aware, too.

I posted back then an interview with Shuhei on which he expressed concern about supporting a game like Little Big Planet 3 because people demands High-budget AAA Shooters instead. He really didn't mention whether LBP3 itself was AAA, but "a game like...[...]" makes you wonder he's talking about AA instead.

And then you have the fact that the game is not being done by Media Molecule, but a different company.

I dunnu, while there's no solid evidence here, I'd say the game is not AAA.

Money alone does not make a game AAA. Examples of games that had AAA budgets but failed Haze and Lair.

It has to earn recognistion by the gaming media and gain awards like many AAA titles that come before them like Uncharted, Last of US, and GTA. More importantly gamers in general need to ackowledge that the game is deserving of the title. Demos alone don't prove that the final product does.
