vita all around... I was expecting higher hardware sale somehow!

Sells mostly to people who already own it. Not too surprising, really.

Hyrule has reached 100k (by Famitsu), and I would imagine its nearing the expected 150k with digital that Koei was looking for... so I guess that's not terrible?

Very doubtful. Digital adoption on the WiiU and not even on PS4 is that high.

Oops, I meant Xbox 360 has. 1% market share

Ah ah ah! 35K AND sold out! People in Japan must be throwing themselves on the second shipment as we speak. Nep Nep future will be brilliant!

Persona pretty much under expectations, Love Live a lot above, and Kiwami shows than PSP-->Vita demographic transition is over. Also, wow at +10K for Bullet Girls, I wonder what the stock is looking like atm.

Now watch 3DS sales fall like a rock until october.

Manwhile Senran Kagura 2 has already disappeared from the top 30. It's over for the series on 3DS, Estival Versus will take up from here :)

Entirely different scenario here as HyWa was on a noticable discount (equivalent to 10$s off) in digital on release over the boxed copy. The low numbers shipped and the digital promotion makes me think they (a.) didn't expect much in the way of sales to begin with and (b.) were expecting to curve up the digital sales with the deal.

How do you know?

Companies like Nintendo and Sony post about the sales numbers for some titles periodically! Take titles that are available only in Japan, for which have very good sources on their retail sales and substract that from the numbers and you see it's never been higher than 20% so far. The highest one i can remeber, that was once posted was about the Vita having 31% or some such number.

Still, not enough to bring it to 50% as that is way too high. Wind Waker was available as a digital download only for sometime and not even that one reached such a high percentage.

tbone51 keeps up with this sort of thing so much better than i do, we'll have to wait for him to tell you what i mean.

Not even close. Games don't sell that well digitally. I don't even think it's safe to assume it did 10%.

Like I said, circumstances are different in this scenario from most usual digital/retail comparisons.

The game launched with a discount on digital. Maybe the numbers aren't as high as I said, I doubt they are truthfully, but the numbers should be different from the norm. WWHD did not launch with a discount on its digital end, so its a moot comparison (also a remaster).

We'll have to agree to disagree, we'll wait till tbone is back.

We'll have to wait till famitsu digital to actually have any concrete answer.
