Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Has Big Goals for Xbox One in Japan; Believes Market Share Can Change with the New Generation

"I want a better performance than our past consoles."

Ahahahahahhahahahahahhaha.

Hah. Doing better than the 360, with ps4 and wiiU already here since a long time while the 360 was alone ?
Without any jrpg or jap games like the 360 in the beginning ?

Oh well, at least they try.

Microsoft is having a hard enough time in America where the Xbox 360 kicked the PS3's ass, how do they think they'll even get close in Japan?

VIP PR

With that line-up, no way. With good japanese games, yes.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

You know what they say about big goals...

easier to score own goals in..

Obviously they say that. Not sure they have good options there.

Dead on arrival, especially after Sony's insane pre-TGS showing.

All of this hype effort is mere ceremony. It is basically obligatory.

Welp good luck with that one MS, unless you do something big there you won't be doing better than the 360 in Japan, probably be lucky to do the Original Xbox's number there if I' being honest.

I wonder if Sony deliberately put their conference so close to the X1s release, take away the little interest that japan maybe had in the X1 by finally revealing PS4 games for the market and then maybe close the deal even further in 2 weeks with the next conference. :p

It could perfectly be. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft move conferences, announces and releases to get the focus and, if possible, shift it from their competitors. They are companies competing and this tricks and more they surely use to fight for market share.

If DQXI is going to be a X1 exclusive, then sure! The console will definitely do much better than the 360 in Japan!

Give it up MS! If you can't take America, you certainly won't take Japan.
