well, if it was a war, then it is definitely over. Those games are not only appealing for the Japanese market but there are also a lot of fans here. I enjoy Japanese games as much as I do with Western titles.

I do not understand:
Persona may be the best game ever created but according to VGC database sell around 300k in Japan.
Dragon Quest has sold quite well in the past, but in the last years has not sold over 1.5 millions. As it is a crossower with Dynasty Warriors, (DW7 in Japan: 460k, DW8 in Japan: 340k) it will probably not sell better if they do not hype it as much as Hyrule Warriors.
These are games for the hard core gamers that probably already bought a Playstation.

If this Dragon Quest game is anything like the spinoff Dragon Quest Swords; it will not make a difference in Japan.
If it is like the other Dragon Quest spinoff games - it may really give the Playstation 4 the boost it needs in Japan. As it stands now, the Playstation 4 is not successful in Japan. Things could turn around but it is hard to tell considering the way Japan's gaming market has shifted primarily to handhelds.
