i think link and animal crossing characters are too much.
I expected first diddy,dixie and cranky kong(DK is related to mario), tanooki , dry bowser, bones, Dr. Eggad, the fairies from mario 3d world, nabbit, etc, before we see link.

Well, it works for Smash, so...

I can't see them going back to just Mario characters for future MK games. Not after these floodgates have been opened. Maybe they'll change the name to Mario & Nintendo All-Stars Kart. Also, it's an excellent way to plug their other franchises, seeing how big of an audience MK usually reaches, compared to their lesser IP's.

I think you and Birdo are the only people who like Birdo.

I am so happy that they're including Villager and Isabelle! It makes me wonder why they decided to include those two. I wonder if it's something similar to where they were testing out lighting physics on Toon Link and decided to rejuvenate Wind Waker entirely. Hopefully this means we've got out first sneak peek at Animal Crossing for the Wii U.

It works amazing for smash, but smash has always been a crossover and it's not called super smash mario. Like you said, changing the name would work. Does that mean we won't see another MarioKart with just Mario characters though? Will there even be a Mario Kart 9?

if mario characters be 90% of character roster, we can still name it mario kart.

I complelty forgot she was in the game, she really does look a lot like Birdo. It's as if Nintendo took the design ideas for Birdo and just put them on a koopling!

This explains why when ever im in a race using Yoshi online and Wendys in it I come in last. Yoshi is clearly to distartacted by the Birdo impersonating koopling, Wendy that he cant focus! XP  :D

Does this mean we will see like Link in Mario Party and Golf and stuff too?

I actually wouldn't mind that. Would make it feel less like Nintendo is Whoring out Mario like everyone says.

Each character has their own games, then for the Golf, Party, Smash, Kart, ect. they all come together and have fun.

The games would feel less like another mario game, and more like a Wii Sports type of game. Just a fun game with nintendo's cast thrown in instead of Mii's.
