Has there been any word on the usefulness of ships or are they just to spice up the load screens as you head to planets/missions?

i dont think they need it to sell games. plus it doesnt look all THAT great. im meh on dlc crap anyways.

That and the Destiny bundle. 

The strike might be cool, maybe not. The rest, meh. Gear and weapons are pointless in a game like this.

I like how the original post lists the worthless things first, then puts the good things as an afterthought. Different weapons, armor, who cares. It's all the same. What is cool is the extra Strike mission and PvP map.

This exactly. Advertising the game without mentioning other platforms is more of a deal than the content.

Yeah, don't really care for that. I'll use them/play maps but it's not that big a deal.

Sony really bet on the right horses this gen as they have backed Ubisoft's and Activision's big new IPs and both look to be big sellers this gen with Playstation as the primary platform.
