Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is Rayman Legends Worth $20?

Was worth the $25 I spent Black Friday last year. Required playing for all 2D platforming fans.

I will get it this Christmas like I told you before!

DK was very good, but I don't think it's nearly as good as Rayman. Although... those boss battles are phenomenal.

The problem i had with Legends is that it is way too easy. Not even because the game itself is easy, but because you have unlimited trys without getting punished for dying. You can die hundreds of times on the same jump and you still won't be punished for it. You just start at nearly the same place.

The game itself is great, but if you're looking for a challenge then this might be a little too easy for you.

I do wonder if Ubisoft will ever try making another 3D Rayman game, because I really don't see how they can improve upon Legends!

Easy. Opening scene Murphy has a terrible accident and faces a slow and painful death.

Eh.. I didn't really mind the Murphy levels, but I suppose Rayman games would be betetr without them!

I bought Rayman Legends for 60$ at launch. I cant say i tegret it, but after beating the game I felt i wasnt satisfied enough, maybe cuz it was short. I would recommend it for 40$ maybe it is good, but DKC is better.
I highly recommend ZombiU, if u r into survival horror games.

IMSM

20 dollars is an absolute steal for rayman legends. I would also recommends ac4 and Zombiu. If you get zombiu have a friend over to play the multiplayer, it's so much fun.

Wow...you guys seem to really like the game. It left my radar after the whole UbiDelay. Maybe I'll put it back there. Was waiting for DKTF to come down in price...but this will be a nice alternative.

I have been enchanted with Rayman since spending hours with the first one on my Sega Saturn!! Indeed you should purchase it and with much haste!! Pick up Orgins and Rayman 2 someday. They are worthy of your time too!

It's a masterpiece buy it today.... The Wii U version is the best version too....

It's four Big Macs* less for you this month - easily worth it.

Understandable.

For me however, I have a different meaning for challenging. Having to redo the whole level over because of a mistake, at one point in the game to ME doesn't mean it's challenging, it's more of a nuisance and annoying. Plus in that game you could really buy upwards to like 60+ lives. Rayman is definitely more on trial and error. I like Rayman's controls much better though, they feel more responsive and less slippery. I do agree that Rayman is much easier, hell I thought Origins was harder in terms of some of the levels.

Both are fantastic platformers none the less :)
