Forums - Gaming - don't mind indies,but?

There aren't too many indies; there's too few AAA's.

What's an indie?

easy test to know what game is an indie or not.

If you hate the game then indie else AAA

That's what I thought. I dislike how the "indie" label is used these days

People complaining about "indies" have no imagination. They just want more broshooters.

did you even read the OP, because this has nothing to do with what he said.

I don't mind them much but most of them are pretty bad. For every batch of terrible Indies there is one gem.

Just today Sword art Online hollow fragment released on the Vita in europe. The game wasnt even in the latest software list while 2 new indie titles received pomp and circustance in the PS blog eu yesterday and were right there today. Not a single mention for Sword art online. I had to manually search for it and buy it.

I have yet to buy a single indie game aswell (i plan to get a couple in the future when they release), but it is obvious that Sony is pushing them incredibly hard over everything else and consumers might start to resent them for it. There is more to gaming than just indies. Theirs arent the only games that need exposure.

changing indie's exposure from 0% to maybe 30% means they only push indies now?   how quickly one forgets destiny, driveclub, farcry 4, bloodborne, littleBigPlanet, uncharted 4, batman AK, the order 1886, dead island 2, diablo 3, mortal kombat, GTA V, hellblade, middle earth, metal gear sold V, silent hills, until dawn,..  all were pushed at this years E3/gamescom.

AAA still get's massively more promotion per game than any indie.  it's not sony's fault the big publishers can only put out 1 AAA title per year anymore.

I dont engage on these anymore but since 2 people already skewed it i will make it clear. I didnt mention triple AAA's. Unless you consider a game like sword art online triple AAA.
