Forums - Gaming - MS told Blizzard 900p was "unacceptable" for Diablo 3 on Xbox One.

Seems that M$ found that Blizzard should have been able to hit 1080p. They then helped them get to it. Not sure what the point of this is about. This falls in line with the can't win for hitting 1080p, can't win if you don't. No matte what M$ does, people will complain.

I wonder how many people would see the difference between a 900p and 1080p game on an 50 inch TV

I wonder how many people notice drops to 50fps. I didn't in KZ SF on a 92" screen.

92" screen. I have to imaginge that even 1080p games on that screen do not look good. It must have been a nightmare playing seventh gen consoles on that monster.

ANyway, how many people have a 92 inch screen? You cant base your business or creative or technical decisions based on the minotity of the minority or the minority of your consumers.

I believe most poeple play on 42-52 inch screens

I was just talking to SvennoJ since he had stated that he has a 92" screen. Even 1080p is not needed as much for the general consumer, I usually have a resolution under 1080p ( though over 720p to be exact 1366*768) on my 32" screen and it looks really good.

1. Evidence of MS forcing parity of devs which many try and deny.

2. The game now suffers because of it, framerate is important to this type of game since no extended view distance.

It's been known for quite a while that MS are nervous about the whole resolution debate... this just confirms it further.

It's not the developers fault, its the hardware thats at fault. They can get it closer but there will always be a tradeoff.

1. How does this mean they were "forced"?

This is eveidence that M$ knew that the  XB1 could reach 1080p and they provided help to do so.

2. How is the game suffering?  It is 1080p and 50+ fps...  Not much suffereing going on here.

Because all of the haters in VG forums have demanded 1080p or they won't buy it.  Like I said, now people are complaining that M$ helped Blizzard achieve 1080p.

It is near the end of the end....

Who cares about these consoles hitting 1080p if they can't even maintain a smooth 60 fps? Wasn't that supposed to be the point? 1080p AND 60fps locked? If they can't achieve something I've been able to enjoy on the PC for YEARS, then they might as well stop trying. Diablo III is a superior game on the PC anyway. Why play this on a console??

I tryed for a few minutes in the DF article... I could notice a few less blury spider webs on some walls.

...

1080p is only a talking point in the console war.
