Forums - Gaming - EA Access Madden 15 early trial only 6hrs

Well, there goes one part of my defense of EA Access. As I recall from previous years, Early Access (then called Season Ticket) would allow you unlimited playing time, albeit locked into only one or two single player modes.
But still, was a better deal than this.

6 hours might seem long, but it still is a decrease from before.

The diff is this gives u access to the whole game so there needs to a time limit or there's no reason to buy the game.

How do you figure giving someone only single player matchups for unlimited time would give them no reason to buy the game.

I think that most people play career or manager modes, Ultimate Team, Online competitive or co-op multiplayer...

Also, maybe it wasn't clear and I omitted to mention, once the game is released, the Early Access would stop functioning, so you did get unlimited time (but limited to the 3-5 days of early access). You might have not known this, so it's OK, thus you made an incorrect assumption.

I spent $30 for a year subscription. I already received full copies of Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden 25 and Peggle 2. I think it has already paid for itself. A 6 hour full demo is pretty good. It will give me time to decide whether I want to pay for the full game at a reduced price.

lol what questions?

Sorry, still laughing at the idea of you bringing Sony into this discussion and then complaining when I talk about them.

You talked about PS+ not Sony's stance on this service. Hence you're off topic.

Which is Sony's service. If you feel I am off topic, report me. But please don't make trollish, baiting comments like your first post in this thread and then act put off when someone replies. Instead of rubbing salt in the wound just move on. You clearly didn't even know PS+ has one hour game trials and it made your comment look incredibly silly.

Sony also makes SpiderMan movies. doesn't mean they have anything to do with this topic. And i think i will follow your advise.

EA has a service like that on last gen consoles called Season Pass or Season Ticket but IIRC it's only for a few of their sports games and costs $25. You get the game 3-5 days early and can do everything except Ultimate Team and your progress carries over if you buy the game.

This is only $5 more and includes all EA games and the vault. Seems like a fair trade off.

Yes, that was a good service. It was for unlimited playing time until release, as well as discounts on all DLCs and add-ons such as UT packs.

I just wonder if EA said if people will still be able to unlock achievements during this trial like they used to be able to. That was a great feature.

I take back what I said about this being a good idea.....

lol Sony was right! This ''service'' is trash.

I'd respect Sony's thoughts on what's a good value if PS Now didn't exist.

Anyhow, $30 a year for access to several games and trials of upcoming games? That's seems fine to me.

Maybe a year or two from now, I think EA Access is going to look very impressive. Maybe Sony will even allow it on PS4.

You two need to cut it out now.

One of you brought up Sony in a thread that has no link to Sony, the other brought up PS+. You've both had a go at each other, you're both clearly irritated.

Everyone else in the thread is ignoring both your comments, ignore each other if need be.

Actually, reading their webpage they may well have done something like that...

If you’re an EA Access member, you can download upcoming EA games five days before the release date to play for a limited time. Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition are all included, with more to come. If you love it, buy it, and you can pick up right where you left off.

I like the part where you can continue where you left off on the 6-hour trial.

Too bad I hate Dragon Age since they seriously fucked up the franchise. They never should have changed it from how it played with Origins. That game was ace. DA2 killed the gameplay.
