lol, notice how none of the people that voted PSN came on to comment?

Xbox One was bad for business. PSN failure was reputation. Both bad and both can be recovered but you can't compare the 2 really.
Hmm, pie.
X1 reveal by a mile. If they hadn't 180'd I honestly don't think anyone would be buying it.

Because explaining the reasoning behind it would be impossible.
Seriously the way the X1 was revealed has literally caused the X1s sales to be what they are. The PSN outage was a mild annoyance for a bit.

X1 reveal.
You just can't deny the mistakes made. Though they're well on the way to turning it around, the effect is still felt.
XBO reveal, it's still hurting Microsoft even to this day. The amount of backlash was unprecedented.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
Xbox One reveal as of right now. Sony recovered from it, time will tell with the Xbox One. If sales catch upwith PS4 in the next year id say PSN outage was the bigger 'tragedy'. Why? Socom 4 came out around the same time and suffered (in part) from the outage and Zipper and it's employees got the axe.

Considering PS4 is the industry leader as far as sales go, I'd say it was much worse for MS. Sony's problem didn't really cost them in the long run like MS who's probably not going to make another console unless things REALLY turn around.
The XBox One reveal and E3 of 2013 wasn't just poorly managed, it was outright insulting. They were telling people not to buy their product (Don Mattrick to Geoff Keighly) and came across as incredibly rude, condescending and confrontational when asked (watch Angry Joe interview Major Nelson). The multiple 180s since (DRM, Kinect, TV focus) may have softened the blow for some, but I know there are those like me that will never forget that six month span of being derided by a company that held me in such contempt.

The Xbox One reveal easily. The effects of it are still being countered by Microsoft.
