Was a tragedy for the companies. Lost potential sales as well as harming their current install base and surely lost customers.

Considering PS4 is the industry leader as far as sales go, I'd say it was much worse for MS. Sony's problem didn't really cost them in the long run like MS who's probably not going to make another console unless things REALLY turn around.
