As much as I like the X1 right now, the console's reveal was simply garbage! >_>

ya the PSN sucked.. but its nothing compared to the blunder MS made at the reveal/e3. its something they will be paying dearly for for years to come

Well in both cases the people got free games out of it so they're both great :)

Sony recovered from theirs and nothing serious came of it. It hurt them short term but they still ended up selling about the same amount of consoles as they would have anyway. Xbone reveal started the bad press (and the preceding rumors) but E3 is where Sony slit their throat. After the Xbone reveal most thought Sony would follow suit it was at E3 when they shocked everyone including MS that MS started their backpedaling and got the backlash that put them behind the 8ball. I mean I thought Sony would outsell them without all the PS3 disadvantages anyway but 2:1 and winning in the states is probably due to the reveal-E3 combo

the X1 for sure, i would give the reasons as to why but the other users have done a good job at explaining why it was worse than the PSN hack.

X1 reveal, not even close.

PSN running on an unsecured Gateway laptop somewhere was a blip on the radar and only for PS3 users who game online.

I took the day off work to watch the X1 reveal.

The next day I traded about 20 of my Xbox360 games for a PS3 and pre-ordered a PS4.

X1 reveal. Without a doubt. With the PSN sony was a victim at least we could look at it that way. In a time when many others got hacked too, I think target even got hacked at some point.

With the X1 reveal, MS were pretty much just being flat out evil and recklessly greedy. They showed the world what they would or could do with the game industry if they had any kinda sway over it. And its a very very very scary image. The one time Ms got any kinda foothold in the industry, look at what they tried to do lol.
