Forums - Website Topics - Is this an American based website? Banning/blog locking like a communist nation!

Does this site ban/lock blogs too much?

Yes 10 40.00%

No 15 60.00%

Total:25

I actually got banned for a day for calling someone that trolled me a troll! I can't bash Xbox. I can't call someone a troll, even though they were trolling me. I can't speak about banning itself unless I label it a website issue. You can't repost a blog. You can barely breath without getting a ban or blog lock! Why?! This is very non-American. This leads me to wonder if this is an American run site. I have never felt so afraid to speak my mind on any site without consequences. I strongly feel that website moderation needs to be lightened up greatly. Isn't it against the very reason for being able to blog if your every word is under scrutinizing? Where is the personal freedom to express one's self? I have a very strong, opinionated mind. I am considering leaving VGChartz to find a more friendly site. I don't want to though, because I like the site so much otherwise.

It's a British site, and what you can be punished for is most definitely in the rules. You are not forced to post here.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

This site is based in the United Kingdom.

Strict moderation is the best thing about VGChartz, it prevents it from turning into the the troll-ridden cesspool that Gamefaqs and the rest have become.

I have reviewed your ban and concluded that the moderator in question should have banned you for longer.

I shall now moderate that moderator.

What does censorship have to do with communism?

Perhaps you should just be more careful of your wording.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

If you don't like this site there are many others.
N4G is a great place if you want to bash Xbox.
