Did anyone really expect this to sell millions or save the Wii U?

Sold worse than I thought but id say life time sales at about 300k.

one of the most ridiculous of all time releases.

i love it, there was no need for a new wii sports, and people know it, hence their abysmal sales.

Come on Ninty, you can do better !!

I had no idea it was even out.

Umm, does this site even track digital sales? The sports were released via eshop over the course of 6 months. If you bought this digitally you could pick and choose what sports you want and miss which ones you didn't. You could also digitally rent the sports for 24hrs, and they offered free trials. Everyone who bought the physical copy was either a collector, or someone who isn't that good with tech (eg families with small kids). I was never expecting the retail release to sell anything, I doubt Nintendo expected it to sell much either. It was more of a way to hush the few people complaining that they don't have a physical disc to collect.

Well, it's just.. Not advertised, once again. And it's not different enough from the original Wii Sports.

It depends on how many people bought the sports on the digital version.

They should have given the digital version for free since the majority also go it for free last generation.

It wasnt free, it was just bundled in with the cost of the console. But even if they did give it you for free the first time, why would you be entitled to it for free a second time.

Obviously it's not free, just what it was marketed as. Nintendo would not give Wii Sports Club for free now since work has gone into the remaster, such as the motion plus controls, gamepad extras and online.
