i dont see the problem, the game need the 60fps, the rest doenst matter, i played the most of the old metro in low ress an it was still fine, inhouse streaming to a nonhd laptop worked fine and i like to play this kind of games sitting in my bed in the dark...

On this game PS4 has 40% more pixels than XB1 (1080p vs 912p) perfectly matching the 40% tflops advantage of PS4's GPU.

But interestingly on the performance screenshot of the only big drop during one cutscene (not during gameplay), DF showed that the framrate can go as low as ~57fps on PS4 and ~52fps on XB1. So it means another 10% performance advantage for PS4 on top of the 40% resolution advantage:

 

Now if you want to add those % you have to multiply them: 1.1 * 1.4 = 1.54 making it 54%.

 

In this game, PS4 has a 54% advantage versus XB1 which is using June SDK. You are right, it wasn't really 50% more powerful.

While, I do somewhat agree with what you said before this sentence. I do not agree with this. No, a 900p framerate to a 1080p framerate is not acceptible if one is paying the same money for both consoles. It would be acceptble if it were 100-150 dollars less than the ps4.

Smh 1080p 60 fps was doable last gen. Devs CHOSE higher gfx fidelity over IQ. What I think you meant to say was this gen seems they can nice IQ and gfx fidelity. 

I know it was doable last gen. I meant that with all the graphical improvements in this gen, trying to achieve 1080p and 60 frames seemed to be an impossible task due to skepticism all over the internet.

360 had 1.24x more pixels, but under stress 0.8x the frames

XBox One improved resolution by a factor 1.72 over 360
PS4 improved resolution by a full factor 3 over ps3
Under load PS4 improved over ps3 1152x600x25 -> 1080p57 factor 6.84
Under load XB1 improved over 360 1280x672x20 -> 912p52 factor 4.47

DF doesn't say if tesselation, bumpmapped textures, cloth simuation, weather effects, physX and per object motion blur has made it to this gen console versions. (You did need a Titan to run all that, so my guess is mostly no)

Hmm missed where it said that... however I did see it say PS4 version clearly shines in specific areas. It is what it is, people need to stop trying so hard and let this die

This! If it performs less, it should cost less money... Simple math.

Some people don't seem to get that simple fact.

Both are 60 dollars, so if nothing else is swaying you one way or the other, then why would you spend the same money to get a worse version, even if you can't notice.

1614x912 = 1,47M pixels
1920x1080= 2,07M pixels

The difference is bigger than 720p->900p
Using just the last number is misleading, as we've learned before

Did you even read the article, or did you selectively zoom through it? There were some minor things the PS4 did better, but on the whole the games look extremely similar. -_-
