Well it explains it in the article. It's one analysts estimation on what it should sell.

Maybe the other articles had lower expectations.

TLOU release date July 29th. NPD counted 3 days of sales. Plus its a remake. What do they expect? 10 million units sold?

Sounds like an analyst making a bad prediction and then looking for something else to blame other than his bad prediction.

Is this a troll article or what? TLOU released on July 29 so only got a few days of sales in July. Stupid analysts give stupid analysis.

TLOU was so far off his estimates that it wasn't enough to offset all the other errors in his estimates.

Have you read the article? It didn't fell short of its target. It fell short of some analyst's predictions.

That's like saying "The PS4 had disappointing sales because it didn't live up to the 30 million sold some dude on VGC predicted."

I think NPD counted up to August 2nd 

Reminds of the analysts/gamers saying MK8 failed to meet expectations for May when came out at the very end. Same situation here it is seems, silly all around
