Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Comments On Lack of AAA Titles For PS4: "Perception Issue, 2015 Great For Core Players & More"

Welp, they wont be getting my money anytime soon, thats for sure! Not that they need it considering how much it sells anyway

Edit: Reason is that, whether or not it is a preception issue doesn't stop the fact that they hyped the console to make us believe that there will be way more AAA exclusives then there is right now but clearly, thats not the case

What in the world are you talking about?

When or how did they ever hype the console to make it seem like there will be way more AAA exclusives than there are now?Every AAA game they showed at their reveal is coming within 18 months of the console releasing and there are even some that weren't shown at the reveal that has joined that list.

Clearly, you should have just said you have no interest in buying a PS4 instead of using such a half baked excuse. I mean its your money, you don't have to justify why you don't want to buy a console. Especially if your attempt at justification means you saying things that aren't true.

Anyway, nothing needs addressing. The console has been out 9 months.

They might not all be 90+ score worthy but I assure you they are better than garbage like Untold Legends at PS3's start......

I enjoyed Untold Legends......

For a few minutes....

I must say I think the only people complaining are those who have never experienced getting a console at launch/launch window; the PS3 launch was pretty terrible, the only games I had were; Folklore, Genji: Days of the Blade, and Enchanted Arms for roughly a year...my PS3 was a giant PS2 player to about 2008.

People like you seem to have forgotten that both PS2 & PS3 had their droughts on the first year like PS4 is having now.

I indeed agree about lack of exclusives looking forward. Sony has changed its focus and i cant see anything interesting coming out besides Uncharted 4. Lets be honest here, Sony is not in a status financially to invest in more AAA titles. There focus has shifted now to indies and remaster of last generation games.

I bet you that you will hear about Uncharted and maybe god of war remasters very soon. It is very early in this generation to focus on remasters and dedicate your resources to work on old games ( which by the way I have bought most of it on PS3)

I bought a PS4 to play new games, not games which i played last generation.I bought a PS4 because of Sony's history of supporting new Ip's and awesome games. I am not seeing any of this and I hate indies........

How about the games you get on PS+? did you have enough indies........

lack of exclusives?  Lol.. seriously?  for 9 months in and you expect every 1st party studio to of already dropped something for the ps4, because 16 1st party studios should = 16 AAA Ips already, right?  gimme a break.. as far as AAA Ips released just this far into this year, x1, ps4, and wii U are just about equal.  As for exclusives, it's literally the same for both x1 and ps4, but which system has more games available?  the ps4.  and as for remasters, 1 remaster, and a few more select titles coming and it seems that's all you think Sony will do.  okie dokie..

i'll paraphrase you.. "it is very early in this generation.." just take a chill pill and wait.  you bought a PS4 to play new games and because of Sony's history of supporting new IPs and awesome games.  Be patient grasshopper, greatness awaits.  Sony hasn't failed on the front ever.. you make it seem like Sony's going to all of sudden abandon ship..

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

Seriously. Let's look at each console by their most recent "big" game:

Xbox 360: Watchdogs (May)
PS3: Watchdogs (May)
Wii u: Mario Kart 8 (May)
Xbox One: Watchdogs (May)
PS4: TLoU:R (2 weeks ago)

But yeah, PS4 is the one lacking big games....

:) .. 50% HW performance boast on multiplats is enough for me to play on PS4.. Mostly play PC.

Its packed if you are only interested in those games... So far, the only game that seems interesting to me that aren't avaiable on PC are Infamous SS and Destiny. The rest aren't interesting to me

A lot of games is a lot of games regardless of whether or not you are interested in them. They don't cease to exist because you don't want them.

Yes, thats true hence why I never said its not a lot of games, I said that it doesn't have the games I am interested in... If a console is filled with a lot of games but most of those games can be found elsewhere, there is no reason for me to buy a ps4 until the console has more games that can't be found else where

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

It wasn't until I needed up upgrade and I started a career in IT that I switched to consoles. It's very hard to convince someone in your position.

Not really. Tons of people own PCs and consoles. The main selling point of consoles is exclusives that you can't find on PCs, and the PS4 simply doesn't have very many right now. The few that it has are mostly mediocre (Knack, Killzone, Infamous), and nothing to buy a new console for.

Please tell me you're not serious.
