Well, it seems obvious PS4 is tracked mostly right in USA in VGC, the problem is elsewhere, probably in Europe. We have Europe behind USA around 500k, maybe there's no such difference. This and some undertracking in the rest of the world can sum the 10m or more Sony said they have already sold world wide, and I'm not doubting them.
And for the actual numbers...., considering TLOU just launched the last few days of July, 187k for PS4 for the month, is not a bad number, it could be better of course, but not bad either. I remember a similar situation with May numbers with MK8 and WD numbers, and then in June people were surprised with better numbers than expected, because a bunch of sales went to June, so probably will see a similar thing in August.
Xbox One and WiiU, well, they just need the holiday season to reignite their sales, or at least I hope so.
Another thing I want to say, and insist, is the fact we can't compare 2014 numbers with 2006 numbers, because 6th gen was younger back then than 7th gen is right now and this new gen is selling better than 7th gen was in 2007 back then, so is normal that total sales are lower (this without counting the obvious decline of handhelds). PS4 is still around Wii 2007 levels (total sales in USA) and Xbox One is still way better than X360 was, so we just need to put our expectations back to reality.
PS4 (and maybe even Xbox One) is "destined" to sell a lot again starting September until the rest of the year, so we will forget this numbers very quickly....just wait people
