What are the statistics for University? Also, for college, what is the actual statistics for graduating, when broken down by each group?

That must be one of the worst uses of bar charts that I have ever seen.

Despicable, even, considering the context of the survey.

Attend and graduate are two different things.

Don't most college student in America go for the football (NFL), basketball, sex and booze and not the actual education?

Blame your Merican movies for that impression.

Hell look at some of the famous sports starts knocking up 5+ women. With a good bunch being college girls.

This thread is disgusting, a ton of people just won't accept that fact that black women percentage wise are more likely to go to college than their race, as iff that's a bad thing. After all the bullshit black people have to put up with in the US you guys really can't let them have one thing, huh?

Get a great job in healthcare!

Become a Medical Assistant in 13 months!

For a mere ~$30,000 you can get a job making ~$10.00-$12.00 an hour!

Unfortunately these colleges just scam a majority of our poor and minority populations. The loans are almost exclusively government backed, so they really don't give a shit if you can pay them back or not.

I work with low income families and this has blown up over the past five years.

It so hard to see someone so excited and know they are just screwing themselves royally.

As mentioned before enrollment and graduation are two different things. Another issue of consideration is that in the Bay Area some students are only enrolling for college long enough to get financial aid money and then dropping out. People often complain because it makes it harder for those who actually want to go to college because the classes are full. I've been told that the classes start out packed and then dwindle to hardly nothing towards the end. The chart would be more interesting if it also showed semesters completed by each race and avg. gpa. That is, if we stick to what the title of what this thread claims.

Good. So that means things will become at least a little more diverse and balanced.

If black women were really more likely to go to college, good for them.  But, trying to pretend this is the case when it isn't true is just people trying to sweep a problem under the rug.  That doesn't help anyone.

Nice statistics. But who are the other 40% enrolling into college?
White Polar Bears?
Black Penguins?
Asian Pandas?

My point -> The numbers don't add up.
