Yes, everything is generated randomly but there are certain conditions that define how it generates that random planet. Whether or acidity decide on which plants can grow there OR which animals inhabit the planet for instance. Soil quality decides what plants or trees is another example. Each animal is then generated in module form with different animal parts such as legs, necks, heads (and what is on the head), markings, skin etc. It's truly fantastic ... if disappointingly short.

The PS5 Exists.
