There is missing a never option. I don't think I'm the only person who thinks that PS4 will never reach triple the sales of X1.

Funny, theer were people that didn't think it would double the sales this year or next. 

But here is my question though, what makes you think the PS4 will never reach triple the sales of the XB1?

I mean the only way that doesnt happen is that the Xb1 starts selling at least as well as the PS4. But if the PS4 keeps pulling numbers like these and the XB1 does the same or even slightly increases, you should know that the gap would just keep growing.

You will laugh but I still firmly(maybe not as firmly as at the start) that PS4 will not reach 2:1. PS4 having now reached 2:1 is just guess work. And even if, it will not be able to hold it throughout the holidays.

I haven't given up on the X1 and to that extend US and UK yet. They haven't had a second holiday to prove themselves yet und MS hasn't brought the big guns yet.I also think that this gen will be shorter and that the PS4 will not reach 100m. Not reaching 100m will be a problem when trying to double or even triple sales of other consoles.

But those are just thoughts. Even if the PS4 wipes the floor with X1 this gen I couldn't give a shit. As a Sony fanboy I will be dancing on the streets either way. I just can't lose this^^

I see what you mean with pcs already stronger than consoles and getting cheaper and better every year. But I really hope that gens get long so installbase can grow to decent numbers. If we go by what the big wigs are saying that it will be bigger, ps4 can reach almost ps2 numbers and be solid ground for next generation.

I hope it will be over rather sooner than later. The consoles are already lacking in power. Hard to imagine how tough it will be for me in 5 years when I upgraded to a 4K TV.

Will be 3-1 next year.
Easily more then 4-1 after gen is done.

That's wrong, actually. PS4 has quite easily tripled One this year.

You must not have noticed. PS4's "current rate" on VGC is way off. Its average since the 7m announcement is around 170k. Yes, average. Not just two of the weeks.

Don't forget PS4 is still selling very poorly in Japan. Once more Japanese games launch the sales their will only make the PS4's advantage bigger.

Sometime in 2018 is my guess. 2015 will be "halo year", 2016 "gears year", so the gap will not keep increasing at the current pace...but after that I can see the ps4 triple the xbox one's sales.

Single halo game which gets released at the end of the year is enough to fight against year of the PS4 exclusives to become year of halo in hardware sales?



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
