UK hackers, Chadderz and his brother Mr Bean, have discovered four unused cup icons in Mario Kart 8. At this point in time its undetermined whether they were placed there as forthcoming downloadable content, or they were simply scrapped by the development team. Still, it’s certainly an interesting find for Mario Kart 8 fans.

I hope for DLC, but looks more like beta stuff that hasnt been used.

Having more tracks as DLC would be most welcome.

Would be nice, 8 new tracks and 8 retro tracks, along with like 12 new characters.

Is this somehow confirmed to be real, beyond a simple blurry pic posted online by people claiming to have hacked the game? Anyone could've easily made those, really.

Also, the 'unused' pics look quite different to the original ones that are in the game, as those look more like 2D icons, while these new ones don't, at all.
