Why? Vita can still run this game.

And it a pleasant addition to PS4, with everything being improved. Specially the framrate that were choppy at times, and many news things to enjoy. I'll buy it again!

Yeah this is not good for the vita but it is great for the game dev, which imo is more important. Dev financial growth > platform growth. I think it will ultimately be good for the vita tho. Just like how most of Xb1's exclusives moving to PC will ultimately be good for Xb1, and may even be good for Ps4 and maybe even NIntendo. If the Dev gets more ability to make more games then they can put those games on more platforms which is good for everyone.

How will the game work without the Vita hardware? That's a big part of the charm of the original.

OT: To those interested in buying the game on Vita and/or PS4, I'd recommend against it. While it's great to see a developer really take advantage of the unique features of the Vita, the game itself is far too easy, the gameplay is disappointingly one-note, and the camera and controls are awkward at times.

It will likely be for both. If not, then development has surely been moved to PS4 only.
