I'm pretty sure that the Wii is about even with the Wii already.

I don't think you're giving the 360 enough credit. However, I don't think you're off by as much as some people believe. As my signature shows, I'm right with you on PS3 sales, but my 360 sales prediction is a bit higher.

Nice prediction. I still stand by my many ramblings that the PS3 won't catch the 360 THIS year. First half of 2009 is my guess.

For the PS3 to pass the 360 it would need to sell 7 million more than the 360 over the next 43 weeks. So the sales would need to average about 162,790 more pep week than the 360 so even with your estimates of it being ahead by 80 to 120 thousand in the summer that still leaves it short. It would then need an amazing holiday with the 360 doing only so so. So it's possible just very very unlikely. I don't think it will happen until Fall of 09.

That would be cool DmeisterJ. I want Ps3 to succeed as much as starcraft wants it to fail but I can't see that happening this year. I'll keep my fingers crossed though.

For some reason, you have a serious issue with me huh?  When have I ever declared that I wish for the PS3 to fail?  Unlike many Sony Fanboys, who would gladly see the death of the Xbox 360, I wish for all three consoles to compete strongly so that when I own ALL THREE they will each continue to receive competitive exclusives.  

The inclusion of DualShock 3 with the console (which Sony said wouldn't happen just two months ago) brings me one step closer to the purchase of a PS3 (Assuming the same occurs in Australia).  All they need to do now is add BC and release some compelling exclusive content.  

When these things happen, I will purchase a PS3.  I think Sony's plummet from console top-dog to also-ran is good as it will show console makers they can't get cocky in the future, and must base their claim to sales on content and appropriate pricing.  Even once I have all three consoles, I will still hope for the PS3 and 360 to end up with similar sales with the Wii not to far in front, in order to preserve competition and ensure no company has the arrogant air going into the next generation that Sony had coming into this one.

You know I almost never bash the 360 or any of the good news about it. Quite frankly I don't post much in any of the topics pertaining to it. why? Becuase i'm not too interested in it. I could go from thread to thread right now and find your posts always putting a negative spin on positive ps3 news or trying to discredit any rumors of something good coming to ps3(remember the secret game?). You always do the opposite for 360 and do major damage control for it. You don't have to declare that you want ps3 to fail. I can just read your post and they make it more than obvious you don't seem like good ps3 news. I think others would agree with me to.
